Clare has over 20 years’ experience in employment law, advising both employees and employers on a wide range of employment law matters. Before joining didlaw, she worked for several well-regarded firms in the City, Surrey and South West London. Clare is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
Clare’s expertise ranges from recruitment to termination and beyond. She has a particular interest in pregnancy and maternity discrimination, and is regularly instructed by employees being treated unfairly whilst pregnant or on maternity leave. Her comprehensive experience includes drafting and negotiating contracts of employment and staff handbooks; advising on disciplinary procedures, grievances, performance and absence management procedures; redundancy; negotiating severance terms and settlement agreements; restrictive covenants and confidentiality issues; TUPE; and dealing with Employment Tribunal claims.
