support
doing things differently.
Not just another law firm…
Our support for our clients goes so much further than legal advice.
We provide a holistic approach to helping our clients move on from bad situations and to get back on track. This can include referring them to trusted advisers in other fields such as psychiatry and psychotherapy, signposting them to useful books to read about others’ experiences of work-related breakdown, and online resources where they can share stories with people in similar situations. Sometimes we have to signpost them to help for suicidal feelings.

Book Suggestions
A really great book on understanding depression and anxiety is Dr Tim Cantopher’s Depressive Illness: The Curse of the Strong.
The book explains the medical reasons why people break down and how to deal with the aftermath. It’s practical but it also really helps to eliminate a lot of the self-stigma people feel after a period of ill health. Highly recommend.
A good account of living with depressive episode is William Styron’s Darkness Visible: A Memoir of Madness.
Gretchen Rubin The Happiness Project
Karen Salmansohn’s Bounce Back book– how to survive in the face of adversity.
Arianna Huffington’s Thrive about finding balance in your life.
Gillian Higgins Mindfulness at Work and Home
