Beatrice Young

Solicitor

Beatrice graduated from the University of Leeds with a First Class Honours in Politics and Social Policy (BA) in 2021. Shortly after leaving university, she joined a Legal 500 ranked, high-street firm, as a legal assistant and swiftly commenced studying for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (“SQE”). Beatrice passed the SQE in May 2024 and went on to qualify as a solicitor in November 2024.

Having realised early on in her role as a legal assistant that she enjoyed employment as a practice area, she benefitted from receiving the bulk of her training within her former firm’s employment team. With just over 3 years’ experience working in employment law, and 1-year PQE under her belt, Beatrice has worked on a variety of complex matters, assisting clients across a broad range of sectors. Since qualification, Beatrice has been regularly instructed by senior executives from the City in high-value negotiated exits, with a particular focus on discrimination within the finance sector.

Beatrice can confidently and competently manage her own matters from initial instruction through to final hearings, including Early Conciliation and preparing key legal documents, as well as negotiating and settling claims. She regularly advises on settlement agreements, provides consultations on ongoing matters within the workplace and has Tribunal experience. Beatrice is great at building relationships with clients in what is often an extremely challenging time.

In her spare time, Beatrice loves to socialise with friends and family, read, run and is also partial to a bit of retail therapy!
