Anita Vadgama

Anita is “is well known for her employment work in the field of disability. She is an expert in discrimination and has notable experience advising clients who are dealing with mental health issues” (Chambers and Partners 2024).
Anita’s practice focuses on all types of discrimination, in particular, disability discrimination. Her focus includes neurodiversity, sex and race discrimination and harassment claims for senior BAME women. She has successfully litigated these claims in the Employment Tribunals. Anita has particular expertise in whistleblowing and represented the appellant in the Court of Appeal in Kong v Gulf International Bank (UK) Limited. She regularly advises on all issues involving Permanent Health Insurance benefits and the relationship with termination of employment and related tax treatment. She routinely negotiates significant termination packages for senior executives including in respect of short and long-term incentives and is ranked for Senior Employee advice in Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.
Anita trained and worked at Thompsons for ten years where she was a senior solicitor. She then relocated to the U.S. for seven years, where she practised as a dual qualified English/Massachusetts attorney for Little Mendelson, the largest global Employment and Law firm. She has been with didlaw since 2018, doing what she likes best – working for employees.
Anita is an Executive Committee member of the Industrial Law Society and is involved with Maternity Action Legal Working Group and Protect, a whistleblowing charity.
Anita is a mother to teenage boy girl twins. When she is not ferrying them around, she enjoys going to the gym, travelling and being with her friends and family.
