Karen represented a senior lawyer who was unable to work from her late 50s due to a combination of serious musculoskeletal injuries and back pain, and anxiety and depression. She wanted to terminate her employment but could not afford to lose her life assurance and her private health benefits. Life assurance will usually terminate with employment. Without issuing legal proceedings we secured lifelong life cover for her from the firm and she was able to continue to receive private health benefits post-termination. In most cases these conditions are impossible to secure but the law firm was willing to make an exception to reward her good service and avoid tribunal.
