Employee Demotion

Anita acted for a Chief Operating Officer whose role changed when a new CEO was appointed. The CEO wanted to move him to a newly created lesser position with a smaller remit, and which effectively would have been a demotion.  He was unhappy, this was a material change to his role and he felt that he had no choice but to leave.

Anita was able to successfully negotiate a substantial termination package that included the retention and future payment of a seven-figure management bonus as well as a termination payment and full payment of his legal fees.
